2. Payment Rules and Policies for Laonikos Apartments

By making a reservation on Laonikos Apts, you agree to the following payment rules and policies.

I. Accepted Payment Methods

  • We accept payments securely via PayPal Cart, which includes major credit and debit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
  • We also accept payments via Bank Transfer.
  • All prices and transactions are processed in Euros (€).

II. Pricing and Billing

  • Transparent Pricing: The total price for your home rental reservation, including all applicable taxes and fees, will be clearly displayed before you confirm your booking.
  • One-Time Billing: All reservations require a one-time, full payment to confirm your reservation.
    • For PayPal/Credit Card payments, your payment will be processed immediately upon completion of the checkout process.
    • For Bank Transfers, your reservation will be confirmed once the full payment is received and cleared in our bank account (please allow 2-3 business days for bank transfers to clear).
  • No Recurring Payments: As home rentals are a one-time service per reservation, there are no recurring charges or subscriptions.

III. Payment Processing and Security

  • Secure Transactions:
    • PayPal/Credit Card: All payment transactions are processed securely through PayPal. Your financial information is encrypted and handled directly by PayPal. We do not store your credit card or sensitive financial details on our servers.
    • Bank Transfer: Bank transfers are processed securely through your chosen bank.
  • Data Protection: Look for “HTTPS” in your browser’s address bar and the padlock icon to confirm a secure connection when providing any personal information.

IV. Bank Transfer Payments (For Reservations confirmed by Bank Transfer)

  • Bank Details:

  • Payment Reference: It is crucial that you include your email address and the booking reference number (provided in your reservation email) in the payment description/notes when making a bank transfer. Failure to do so may delay the confirmation of your reservation.
  • Confirmation Time: Your reservation will be considered confirmed only after the full amount has been successfully received and cleared in our bank account. We recommend initiating bank transfers promptly to secure your booking.

V. Reservation Confirmation

  • Upon successful payment (either immediate via PayPal/Credit Card or upon bank transfer clearance), you will receive an immediate reservation confirmation via email to the address provided during booking. This email will include details of your booking and a transaction receipt.
  • Please keep this confirmation email as proof of your reservation and payment.

VI. Refunds and Cancellations

  • 48-Hour Refund Window: We offer a full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours from the exact time of your reservation. To be eligible for a refund, your cancellation request must be received by our support team no later than 48 hours from the timestamp of your confirmed reservation.
  • No Refunds After 48 Hours: After the 48-hour refund window has passed, all payments are final and non-refundable, regardless of when the cancellation request is made relative to the check-in date. This policy applies to all circumstances, including but not limited to changes in travel plans, health issues, or unforeseen events.
  • How to Request a Refund/Cancellation: To request a cancellation within the eligible 48-hour window, you must contact our customer support team immediately at [reservations@laonikosapts.gr]. Please include your reservation number in your request.
  • Refund Processing: Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 5-10 business days. The exact timing for the funds to appear in your account may vary depending on your bank or card issuer.

VII. Failed Payments and Fraud Prevention

  • Failed Payments:
    • For PayPal/Credit Card: If your payment attempt is unsuccessful, your reservation will not be confirmed. You will be notified of the failure and prompted to reattempt payment or use an alternative payment method.
    • For Bank Transfer: If the bank transfer is not received within [e.g., 3-5] business days of your reservation request, or if it is for an incorrect amount, your reservation may be automatically cancelled. We will attempt to contact you before cancellation.
  • Fraudulent Activity: We reserve the right to cancel any reservation suspected of fraudulent activity. In such cases, we will notify you of the cancellation and may report the activity to relevant authorities.
